Services Designed Around Transformation, Not Transactions

We do not sell deliverable packages by the hour. Every engagement is scoped around the specific transformation outcome your business needs to achieve.

Discuss Your Challenge

How We Engage

A Sterling & Sterling engagement begins with a diagnostic — typically three to four weeks of structured interviews, data review, and leadership observation. We do not arrive with pre-packaged recommendations. Instead, our partners spend the early weeks understanding the real terrain: where decisions stall, where accountability blurs, where market dynamics are changing faster than the organisation can respond. From that diagnostic we build a bespoke engagement design — scoped for your ambition, your capacity for change, and your timeline. We then stay embedded through implementation, not handing off a slide deck and disappearing. Our clients describe this as the single most important differentiator of working with us.

Our Core Service Areas

Strategic Clarity Engagements

For organisations that have lost narrative coherence — where the strategy has drifted from the original vision, where competing priorities are fragmenting leadership energy, or where external disruption demands a full strategic reset. Typical duration: 8 to 14 weeks. Deliverables: strategic narrative document, three-year roadmap, leadership alignment workshop series.

Operating Model Redesign

For organisations whose structure has become a source of friction rather than a source of speed. We conduct a current-state assessment, map interdependencies, identify structural bottlenecks, and co-design the target operating model with your senior leadership. Typical duration: 10 to 20 weeks. Deliverables: TOM blueprint, accountability framework, transition roadmap, and a RACI across critical processes.

Large-Scale Transformation Management

We act as the programme management backbone for complex, multi-workstream transformations — typically those with more than four concurrent initiative tracks and a duration of 12 months or more. We design the governance architecture, run weekly steering cadences, manage interdependency risks, and coach workstream leads. The client retains ownership; we provide the infrastructure and the rigour.

Retained Executive Advisory

A standing monthly engagement for senior executives who need a trusted external thinking partner. Two to four hours per month of one-to-one time with a Sterling & Sterling senior partner — structured around your current priority agenda, not ours. Advisory topics typically include board dynamics, acquisition logic, organisational culture, and strategic communication.

Rapid Diagnostic Sprints

A focused two-week diagnostic sprint for leadership teams that are unsure whether they face a strategy problem, an execution problem, or a culture problem — and need clarity before committing to a larger programme. Deliverables include a diagnostic findings report, a root-cause heat map, and a recommended engagement design for next steps.

Embedded, Not Extractive

There is a version of consulting that extracts information from your organisation, processes it offsite, and returns with polished conclusions. That model produces impressive documents that change nothing. Sterling & Sterling operates differently. Our consultants work inside the client organisation — present in leadership meetings, visible to the teams affected by change, and accountable for the quality of implementation, not just the quality of analysis. We believe that transformation is ultimately a human process and that no slide deck, however well-crafted, can substitute for the relational trust required to move an organisation from where it is to where it needs to be. Our warm terracotta-cream working environments — both physical and cultural — reflect that belief: rigour without coldness, structure without rigidity.
