How to Reach Sterling & Sterling

Our Martin office is the hub of our Central European practice, and we welcome leadership teams who want to meet in person as well as those who prefer a video call. The building sits on Námestie S. H. Vajanského in the centre of Martin — a five-minute walk from the train station. We hold most initial consultations in our warm terracotta-cream meeting rooms on the second floor, designed deliberately to feel different from the sterile glass boxes of larger consulting firms. How long does a typical engagement last?

It depends entirely on the scope. A Rapid Diagnostic Sprint runs two weeks. A Strategic Clarity engagement typically runs eight to fourteen weeks. A large-scale transformation programme, where we act as embedded programme partners, typically spans twelve to twenty-four months. We are always transparent about scope and duration before any contract is signed.

Do you work with companies outside Slovakia?

Yes. While Martin is our base, we regularly serve clients in the Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, and Poland. We are comfortable working in English and German in addition to Slovak. For engagements that require significant on-site presence outside Slovakia, we adjust our travel and cost model accordingly.

What size of company is Sterling & Sterling best suited to?

Our sweet spot is the mid-market: companies with 150 to 2,000 employees and revenues between €20 million and €500 million. These organisations are large enough to have genuine structural complexity but nimble enough that our interventions can produce visible results within a single financial year. We occasionally work with larger corporates on discrete programme management mandates.

How do you price your engagements?

We price on a fixed-fee basis per engagement, not by the hour. This aligns our incentives with yours: we are motivated to deliver the agreed outcome efficiently, not to maximise billable time. Fees are agreed upfront and tied to clearly defined scope. We provide a no-cost scoping call before any fee proposal is issued.
